Magee scores touchdown in win

A former Washington Parish high school player had a big play in the Cleveland Browns’ 20-14 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Thursday’s preseason opener in Cleveland.
The Saints led Cleveland 14-7 early in the fourth quarter. The Browns had a first-and-goal at the 1. Terrence Magee got the call and delivered. The 2011 Franklinton High School graduate took the handoff and scored to make it 14-13 with 12:19 left.
For the game, Magee had four carries for 15 yards and a touchdown.
Cleveland is back in action Monday, Aug. 21, when they host the New York Giants.
The Saints’ next game is Sunday, Aug. 20, on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers. The kickoff for both games is 7 p.m.
