Lady Buccaneers errors costly in loss to Amite School Center

Bowling Green School’s softball team committed seven errors and struggled offensively in a 4-0 loss to Amite School Center during last Tuesday’s home opener.
The Lady Buccaneers were limited to two hits, on singles by Breanna Tobey and Jayden Jenkins.
The seven errors led to three unearned runs.
Hannah Creel was the hard-luck losing pitcher. She allowed four runs (only one earned) on just two hits with seven strikeouts and a walk over five innings. Madelyn Burch pitched the final two innings and allowed just one hit with two strikeouts and she did not allow a run.
Amite School Center scored two runs in the first before adding one each in the second and fifth innings.
Bowling Green is 1-1 this season. The Lady Buccaneers are back on the field today and will host Wayne Academy. Tomorrow, Bowling Green hits the road to play in the Amite School Center Tournament.
