Bowling Green’s McElveen, Wager named as 1st-team all-district players

A pair of Bowling Green baseball players were named first-team all-district players in the 5AAA league in the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools.
Nicholas Wager and Brandon McElveen were picked for the top team.
This season, Wager hit .322 and reached base at a .422 clip. Wager drove in 19 runs and scored 16 runs.
McElveen was a .351 hitter this year and had a .456 on-base percentage. McElveen recorded 14 RBIs and seven runs scored.
Wager and McElveen both were 2017 Class AAA All-Stars.
Cameron Cowart is a second-team all-district player.
This season, Cowart posted a .444 on-base percentage. Cowart scored 16 runs and stole 14 bases.
