Franklinton tallied a 4-0 record this week in the Raising Canes Mandeville Summer Basketball League on Monday and Tuesday.
In Monday’s games, which took place at Northlake Christian School, the Demons were victories over Pearl River and Northlake Christian School.
On Tuesday, Franklinton played two more games, this time at Mandeville High School, and coach Brad Oestriecher praised his team on its play.
“Tuesday night was the two best games we played all summer,” Oestriecher said. “We’re starting to see a ton of improvement from a bunch of guys. We played with great energy and we played together.”
The first game was a 56-48 win over Slidell.
T.Y. Pope led the Demons with 24 points.
Raisean Hart tallied 19 in the victory.
The Demons won the second game, 54-47, over Mandeville.
Pope once again topped the Demons with 19 points.
Hart posted 16 points and Albert Brohow put up nine for Franklinton.
The Demons are 8-4 this summer. The league continues this upcoming week.
