Franklinton and Loranger played to a tie, as the teams scored three touchdowns apiece in their spring game that took place Thursday at Loranger.
Tahj Magee connected with Rakerian Conerly for a pair of passing touchdowns. Magee also ran for a score.
Franklinton coach Steve Burris said there were several bright spots on the offensive and defensive line.
Burris said there’s still a lack of attention to detail and inconsistent fundamentals at several positions.
“We have some real good players in Tajh (Magee), Rakerian (Conerly), Duke (Bell), Lamont (Harris) and James (Bickham), but we more guys to play consistent,” Burris said. “If we make these changes we should have a great year, and if we don’t we will struggle. We had a great spring and finished with a 3-3 tie with Loranger, but didn’t progress as far as I’d like. I look forward to 2017.”
Franklinton is heading to Live Oak for its scrimmage Aug. 16.
The Demons are hosting the Washington Parish Jamboree on Aug. 25.
The regular season gets underway the following week on the road against the Covington Lions.
