Rogers finishes 2nd at nationals

Bowling Green School’s Meredith Rogers finished second in her age group at the Archery Shooters Association National Tournament in Appling, Ga., that took place May 12-14.
Rogers was runner-up in Middle School Pins.
The tournament featured several thousand competitors from across the country and about 50 in each age group.
The event is part of the participants’ national ranking. It also helps them potentially qualify for ASA Classic awards, which include Best All-Around Shooter and Shooter of the Year.
The ASA Classic is Aug. 4-6 in Cullman, Ala., which is about 50 miles north of Birmingham.
Bowling Green’s Kaylyn Dupre was 13th in the Middle School Pins’ age group.
In Middle School Pins for the males, Austin Forbes was 15th, Matthew Bienvenu took 16th, Connor Dedon was 18th and Jeremy Bryant was 19th.
The team’s next big tournament is set for June 2-4 in London, Ky.
