Franklinton successful on the golf course in Tuesday’s play

Franklinton’s Brett Bryant finished second Tuesday at Money Hill Golf and Country Club in the Northlake Golf League.
Bryant posted a round of 80 for the runner-up tally in a field of 22 golfers.
Loranger’s Kristopfer Kerr had an outstanding round, posting a 66 to win.
Teammate Wade Baham was third with an 86.
Franklinton and Loranger tied for first in the team competition, as both schools posted a 379, as four teams qualified for team honors.
Lakeshore put up a 399 to finish third and Pearl River was fourth at 474.
The top four golfers’ scores from each team were used in determining team scores.
Franklinton’s Dillen Reeves posted a 90 while Andrew Schilling had a 104, Cameron Jones carded a 105 and Jacob Smith put up a 113.
In the girls, Franklinton’s Hannah Grace Henn won the event with a 128, as five females competed.
Teammate Katherine Haik was second with a 125.
Franklinton posted a 263-team score.
The top two golfers’ scores from each squad were to figure out the team score. The Lady Demons were the only team eligible for team honors.
