Franklinton’s Lady Demons went 1-1 in District 8-4A contests that took place Tuesday and Wednesday.
Franklinton suffered a 15-0 loss to Lakeshore in a District 8-4A road game that took place Tuesday.
The Lady Demons had just two hits.
Madison LaSalle singled and Alaina Fussell doubled.
Lakeshore jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings with four in the first and two in the second.
The Lady Titans added two more in the third and had a seven-run seventh.
Franklinton committed four errors that led to seven unearned runs.
The Lady Demons rebounded the following day and defeated Loranger, 7-6, on the road.
Five Franklinton players had one hit each including, LaSalle, Bailey Spears, Morgan Stafford, Ashlyn Ard and Fussell.
LaSalle drove in a run and scored twice. Spears and Stafford each had a pair of RBIs and a run scored. Ard scored a run. Fussell’s hit was a double.
Bethany Sandifer drove in a run while Caroline Branch tallied two runs.
Winning pitcher Anna Miley allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits over 4-1/3 innings of work with a walk.
Spears got the save after allowing one unearned run in 2-2/3 hitless innings with a pair of strikeouts.
The teams combined for nine errors that led to seven unearned runs.
