Mt. Hermon blanks Patrick Taylor Science & Technology
Mt. Hermon’s D.J. Elzey and Trenton Wilson had solid days, as the Yellow Jackets were victorious over Patrick Taylor Science & Technology Academy in a District 7-B road game Tuesday.
Elzey posted three hits that included a triple. He drove in two runs and scored three. Wilson drove in a run and scored twice.
Preston Knight had two hits, two RBIs and a run scored.
Clinton Roux, Colby Cutrer and Trey Brumfield all posted one hit.
Cutrer scored a run and posted an RBI. Brumfield scored three times and had an RBI. Clark drove in two runs.
Kamron Brumfield, Devie Taylor and Gage Hamilton all scored a run for the Yellow Jackets.

Varnado victorious over Amite
Varnado’s Trace Lozier had a three-hit game, helping the Wildcats top Amite, 11-9, in last Monday’s game that took place at Franklinton High School.
Lozier reached base five times, as he also had two walks and he drove in two runs.
Errol Varnado and Xavier Moses posted two hits each. Varnado doubled twice and scored two runs. Moses doubled, posted three RBIs and a run scored.
Travon Stokes, Jaylan Jefferson, Ja’Roderick Robinson and Armontee Kemp all recorded one hit. Stokes scored a run and drove one in. Jefferson doubled, drove in two and scored once. Robinson drove in two runs and tallied a pair of runs. Kemp had an RBI and a run scored.
Jaccourious Bickham and Ja’Kyle Newkirk scored a run each.
Winning pitcher Jefferson, allowed one unearned run over three innings with seven strikeouts and a walk.

Pine falls to Archbishop Hannan
Pine suffered an 11-5 loss to Archbishop Hannan in last Monday’s District 10-2A home game.
The Raiders had five hits. Ethan Knight posted two hits that included a double, three runs batted in and a run scored.
Tate Roach, Rion Terrell and Trey Cooper posted a hit each. Roach scored a run and Cooper had a double.
Kendall Sheridan, Dillon Morris and Kaden Fersch all scored a run while Luke Fonda drove in a run for the Raiders.

Varnado falls to Houma Christian
Varnado’s Wildcats suffered a 13-3 loss to Houma Christian, 13-3, on the road Friday, March 31 in District 8-1A competition.
Jaylan Jefferson posted two hits. Jefferson hit a solo homer, drove in a run, doubled and scored a run.
Travon Stokes, Errol Varnado, Xavier Moses and Ja’Roderick Robinson all had one hit.
Jaccourious Bickham scored two runs for the Wildcats.
