Lady Demons tally 2-0 record in recent games

Franklinton’s softball team won both of their games recently.
The Lady Demons were victorious over East St. John, 15-0, in three innings in a home game that took place Friday.
Bailey Spears had a big day at the plate. She went 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and three runs.
Six Lady Demons had a hit each, including Madison LaSalle, Morgan Stafford, Ashlyn Ard, Bethany Sandifer, Alaina Fussell and Caroline Branch.
LaSalle had an RBI and two runs scored. Stafford tallied two runs. Ard posted a run. Sandifer scored two runs and posted a pair of RBIs. Branch doubled, recorded three RBIs and two runs scored.
Stephanie Crowe and Sydney Wills scored a run each, while Anna Miley drove in three runs and Laynea Stafford scored twice.
Miley pitched three no-hit shutout innings. She struck out five and walked two for the win.
Franklinton scored eight runs in the first and seven more in the second.
On Monday, the Lady Demons captured a 16-0 victory over Independence at home in three innings.
The Lady Demons recorded four hits — one each by LaSalle, Spears, Morgan Stafford and Ard.
LaSalle drove in three runs and scored three times. Stafford doubled, posted four RBIs and tallied a run. Ard doubled and scored two runs.
Laynea Stafford scored three runs while Miley scored a run and drove in a run. Crowe and Sandifer tallied a run each, Fussell posted an RBI and Wills and Hart scored two runs each. Hart also drove in a run.
Franklinton drew 13 walks and took advantage of five errors that led to nine unearned runs.
Franklinton scored 12 in the first and four more in the second.
Spears pitched the three innings, allowing two hits with five strikeouts and a walk.
