Franklinton’s softball team defeated Northlake Christian School, 17-2, in three innings at home last Wednesday.
The Lady Demons had just two hits, but drew 17 walks and were hit six times. Franklinton had just eight official at-bats.
Bailey Spears and Stephanie Crowe had a hit each. Spears scored two runs. Crowe drove in two runs and tallied two runs.
Morgan Stafford tallied three runs. Madison LaSalle, Ashlyn Ard, Laynea Stafford and Bethany Sandifer all scored two runs while Sydney Wills and Shamya Hart had one each.
Hart and Alaina Fussell drove in a run each.
Winning pitcher Anna Miley pitched the three innings and allowed no earned runs on a hit with five strikeouts and no walks.
Northlake Christian took a 2-0 lead in the first, but the Lady Demons scored four in each of the first and second innings before putting up nine in the third to cap off the 17-2 win.
