Franklinton was the runner-up in the team competition in the Northlake Golf League, and Dillen Reeves took third place on Tuesday at the Franklinton Country Club.
The Demons had a team score of 386 for the second-place finish. They were just two strokes from Loranger, which won the event, among the four qualifying teams. Lakeshore was third at 405 and Salmen was fourth with a 425.
The top four scores from each team were used to determine the team competition.
Reeves was third among 22 golfers with an 76.
Loranger’s Kristopher Kerr fired a 70 to win the event by 12 strokes, and Lakeshore’s Nick Pizzuto was second.
Also for Franklinton, Brett Bryant had an 87, Cameron Jones carded a 93, Grant Thomas posted a 120 and Jacob Smith had a 132.
Franklinton’s Katherine Haik won the girls competition with a 133 by a stroke over teammate Hannah Grace Henn. Salmen’s Shelby Lipham was third with a 135, as four people competed.
Franklinton was the only qualifier for team points, finishing with 267.
