Errors hurt Franklinton in loss to St. Scholastica Academy
Errors were a key in Franklinton’s 7-3 setback to St. Scholastica Academy in a District 8-4A home game held Thursday.
Madison LaSalle, Bailey Spears, Ashlyn Ard and Stephanie Crowe had a hit each. LaSalle and Spears scored a run each, Ard had an RBI and a run scored and Crowe drove in a run.
Franklinton committed seven errors that led to six unearned runs.

Franklinton victorious over Salmen
Franklinton’s Madison LaSalle and Ashlyn Ard recorded three hits each in a 24-7 victory over Salmen in four innings.
LaSalle tripled, drove in four runs and scored four times in five at-bats. Ard had two doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Bailey Spears and Anna Miley recorded two hits each.
Spears doubled, drove in two and scored two runs. Miley doubled. Morgan Stafford, Stephanie Crowe and Caroline Branch had a hit each. Stafford had an RBI and three runs scored. Crowe drove in four runs and scored twice. Branch had an RBI and two runs scored. Laynea Stafford tallied three runs, Bethany Sandifer and Keirsten Allen scored two runs each and Shamya Hart scored a run. Miley, the winning pitcher, allowed two earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts and two walks over four innings. The Lady Demons committed five errors that led to five unearned runs.
Salmen had 11 errors that led to 19 unearned runs.
The Lady Demons led 12-3 after the first inning, and 14-7 through two. Franklinton scored five runs each in the third and fourth innings to wrap up the 24-7 victory.

Bogalusa falls to Jewel Sumner
Bogalusa suffered a 17-1 loss to Jewel Sumner in three innings Tuesday at the Bogalusa Sports Complex.
Teagan Odom went 1-for-1 at the plate and Natavia Hall drove in a run for the Lady Jacks.
