Pine wins 2 of 3 games in Doyle Tournament

Pine lost the first game, but rebounded with a pair of wins in the Doyle Tournament that took place Thursday through Saturday.
The Raiders lost the first game, 5-2, to the host team.
Kendall Sheridan and Dillon Morris recorded two hits each. Morris drove in a run for the Raiders.
Dakota Brooks also had a hit for Pine.
Kaden Fersch and Rion Terrell scored a run each while D.J. Thomas had an RBI.
Pine trailed 5-0 after six innings before scoring two runs in the seventh to close the gap, but came up short.
On Friday, Pine lost to Springfield, 9-3.
Terrell, who had big offensive games in the final two contests, posted three hits, two of them were doubles to go with an RBI and a run scored.
Sheridan and Morris posted two hits apiece. Sheridan drove in two and scored a run while Morris tallied a run.
Tate Roach and Ethan Knight had a hit each. Roach scored two runs and Knight drove in a pair.
Logan Temples scored two runs while Fersch and Luka Fonda scored a run each.
Knight, the winning pitcher, threw a complete game, allowing no earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts and three walks. Pine committed two errors.
The Raiders led 9-0 through 6.5 innings before Springfield broke up the shutout with three in the bottom of the seventh.
The final game was a 14-4 win over Maurepas in five innings.
Knight, Morris, Terrell and Fersch all had two hits.
Knight drove in two and scored a run. Morris scored three runs and drove one in. Terrell doubled and recorded five RBIs. Fersch had an RBI and a run scored.
Sheridan, Roach, Thomas, Fonda and Chris Mayeaux all had one hit.
Roach and Mayeaux had an RBI and a run scored each. Fonda drove in two.
Jarwin Jordan scored three runs while Brooks tallied two.
Sheridan threw a complete game, allowing one earned run on seven hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
