Varnado defeats Mt. Hermon

Varnado’s Jaylan Jefferson had a big day, helping the Wildcats to a 13-5 victory over Mt. Hermon on the road Friday.
Jefferson recorded three hits, which included a solo homer along with a double and a triple. He also scored two runs and had one RBI.
Christian Matthews posted two hits and he drove in two.
Errol Varnado, Trace Lozier, Ja’Roderick Robinson, Armontee Kemp, Ja’Kyle Newkirk and Jonathan Green all had one hit.
Varnado doubled, drove in one and scored four runs, while Lozier posted two RBIs, Robinson drove in a run and scored one, Kemp, Newkirk and Green all scored a run. Green also had a double for the Wildcats.
Boudreaux scored a run.
Moses was the winning pitcher.
The Yellow Jackets put up five hits.
Trey Brumfield had two hits. Brumfield doubled and scored a run.
Colby Cutrer, Remington Bankston and Byron Hyatt all had a hit. Cutrer had an RBI and a run scored. Bankston doubled and drove in a run and Hyatt had two RBIs.
Dylan Clark scored two runs and Kamron Brumfield tallied one.
