Franklinton falls to Lakeshore
Franklinton suffered a 13-1 loss to Lakeshore in a District 8-4A road game that took place Wednesday.
The Lady Demons had three hits on singles by Bailey Spears, Ashlyn Ard and Morgan Stafford. Spears drove in a run and Caroline Branch tallied a run.
Lakeshore scored three runs each in the first and second inning to go up 6-0. Franklinton’s run came in the fifth, but the Lady Titans countered with seven in the fifth for the win.

Bogalusa begins District 7-3A play with a win
Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks started District 7-3A play with a 20-5 victory over Independence in three innings Tuesday.
Tiara Turner, Kenzie Hall and Shaunte Chatmon all had two hits for the Lady Jacks. Turner scored three runs and drove in two. Hall posted two RBIs and tallied a run. Chatmon scored twice and had a pair of RBIs.

Pine starts league play with a win
Pine began District 10-2A play by defeating Northlake Christian School, 23-13, in a comeback victory at home Tuesday.
Pine trailed 13-6 going into the bottom of the third, but the Lady Raiders put up 14 runs in the inning to go up 20-13 before going on to the victory.
For the game, Savannah Kennedy hit a solo homer. Brianna Brumfield hit a 3-run homer and Morgan Grace hit a grand slam.
Haley Stephens scored four runs while Caitlyn Polk and Erin Kennedy posted three runs each and Cassidy Ashe, Cassidy Perry and Sydney Thomas all had two runs.

FHS defeated by Loranger
Franklinton’s softball team suffered a 9-7 loss to Loranger in a District 8-4A game that took place Tuesday at home.
The Lady Demons recorded 10 hits.
Madison LaSalle, Ashlyn Ard and Stephanie Crowe posted two hits each. LaSalle scored twice, Ard doubled, drove in a pair of runs and scored a run and Crowe drove in a run.
Bailey Spears, Bethany Sandifer, Anna Miley and Alaina Fussell each had one hit. Spears and Sandifer drove in a run and scored a run each. One of Sandifer’s hits was a double and Miley had an RBI.
Sydney Wills and Laynea Stafford each scored a run.
