Mt. Hermon goes 2-0 in recent contests with wins Friday, Monday

Mt. Hermon’s Yellow Jackets won their games Friday and Monday.
On Friday, Mt. Hermon defeated Bogalusa, 6-3, at home.
The Yellow Jackets posted just two hits, one each by Clinton Roux and Colby Cutrer.
Cutrer and Preston Knight drove in three runs each while Roux and Gage Hamilton scored three runs each.
Winning pitcher Knight went the distance on the mound, allowing two earned runs on three hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
On Monday, the Yellow Jackets took to the road and blanked Ecole Classique, 9-0.
Mt. Hermon posted seven hits. D.J. Elzey led the way with two hits and he drove in two runs and scored twice.
Trenton Wilson, Kameron Brumfield, Cutrer, Gage Hamilton and Knight all had one hit. Wilson and Cutrer scored a run and had an RBI each. Hamilton doubled and Knight drove in two runs and scored once.
Roux and Remington Bankston scored a run each while Trey Brumfield tallied two runs and drove in one.
Byron Hyatt started and picked up the win after throwing four shutout innings of three-hit ball with three strikeouts and three walks.
Wilson pitched three innings of relief, giving up one hit with four strikeouts and a walk.
