Franklinton’s boys’ tennis team captured three of their four matches against Hammond at home last Wednesday.
Joshua Gubert defeated Oliver Robinson in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
In doubles, the team of Raif Branch/Aaron Ignacek was victorious over Brennan Tilyou/Evan Gibson, 6-4, 6-2.
Jordan Catchings/Daylin Garrett won their match, 6-3, 6-6 (7-1 tiebreaker), over Trey Fuli/Michael Trappen.
Ignacek suffered a 6-0, 6-0 loss in singles.
The girls’ team went 0-4, as they played some close matches.
Ashlyn Ard came up short to Drew Bareznik, 4-6, 6-4, 10-3 (tiebreaker).
Gabrielle Webb was defeated by Sara Rodriguez, 6-0, 6-3.
In doubles, Taylor Cosse/Morgan Mills lost a 6-2, 6-3 match.
Tijanae Magee/Cassidy Stewart were topped by Yvonne Horenkamp/Tierra Reid, 6-6 (7-3 tiebreaker), 1-6, 10-3 (tiebreaker).
