Lady Bucs well-represented at all-star game

Three Bowling Green Lady Buccaneers and a coach will be participating in the girls MAIS AAA-AAAA All-Star Game that takes place today at 1 p.m. at Jackson Academy.
McKinley Seal, a University of Mobile signee, along with teammates Hollie Waskom and Katelin Junkins, were rewarded for solid seasons with this honor.
Also, their coach Barry Seal is going to be an assistant coach for the team.
They will be on the Blue Team.
The four were part of a Bowling Green team that captured the regular season District 5AAA Title, the District 5AAA Tournament and the AAA South State Tournament. Bowling Green reached the championship game of the Class AAA Tournament, but lost to Kirk Academy to finish runner up.
At the overall tourney, the Lady Bucs won the first game, but lost in the second round to Marshall Academy, 42-38.
Bowling Green finished with a 27-9 record.
The four will be joined on the team by Adams County Christian School’s Anna McDaniel, Jackson Academy teammates Emily McNair, Conley Chinn and Lauran Sheriff, Kirk Academy’s Margaret Taylor and Raven Johnson, Madison-Ridgeland Academy’s Allyson May, Manchester Academy’s Suzanne King and Oak Forest Academy’s Ashlee Stafford.
The head coach of the Blue Team is Jackson Academy’s Jan Sojourner.
They will be going against the White Team.
The squad features Adams County Christian School’s Bailey Boyd, Central Hinds Academy’s Taylor Gagneaux, Centreville Academy’s Sydnie Lyons, East Rankin Academy’s Mackenzie Thompson, Leake Academy’s Anna Evans, Parklane Academy teammates Tootie Carter and Destini Brown, Pillow Academy’s Adair Brock, Presbyterian Christian School’s Madi Norton, Silliman Institute’s Kayla McNabb, Starkville Academy teammates Bonner Hughes and Sydney Passons and Washington School’s Jordan Ashford.
The head coach of the White Team is East Rankin Academy’s Rod Delaney. He is assisted by Washington School’s Ed Waldrupp.
