Franklinton Baseball Tourney runs tomorrow until Saturday

The 2017 Franklinton High School Baseball Tournament opens tomorrow with doubleheaders at two locations.
The event features three local teams, and eight teams overall. Games will take place at Franklinton High School and Pine High School over the next three days.
Tomorrow at Franklinton, Loranger is facing Independence at 4 p.m. with Franklinton going against Amite at 6:30.
At Pine, Varnado plays against Jewel Sumner with first pitch set for 4 p.m. and Pine takes on Ponchatoula at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday’s games feature the same format, as Varnado and Independence open things at Franklinton at 4 p.m. and the Demons go against Ponchatoula at 6:30 p.m.
Amite and Loranger get under way at 4 p.m. at Pine while the Raiders take on Jewel Sumner at 6:30 p.m.
Most of Saturday’s action takes place at Franklinton, as fans have an opportunity to watch baseball throughout the day.
Varnado and Amite begin the day at 10 a.m. with Loranger and Ponchatoula following at 1 p.m.
The tournament’s final game features Franklinton and Jewel Sumner at 4 p.m.
One game is on tap at Pine, as the Raiders face Independence at 11 a.m.
