Officers with the Bogalusa Police Department were busy last Wednesday when they were alerted by nearby residents about alleged drug activity at a house in the Terrace neighborhood. They ended up making three arrests on various drug charges and other charges.
According to BPD reports, after getting “many complaints,” patrol officers saw a vehicle they’d never before seen at the residence. When the driver reportedly failed to use his turn signal upon leaving the house, the officers pulled the car over and reportedly smelled marijuana smoke in the vehicle. That prompted a search of the car and its inhabitants.
Drugs were allegedly discovered, and a handgun was reportedly found on the floor of the vehicle, although the inhabitants all reportedly said they had no knowledge of it being there.
Krystal Chapman, 33, was booked with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession with intent to distribute Schedule IV drugs-Xanax, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a drug free zone. Her bond was set at $110,000.
