Bowling Green advances to Class AAA Tournament

Bowling Green’s Buccaneers advanced to the Class AAA Tournament after coming in the top four of the South AAA Tournament that took place last week at Simpson Academy.
The Buccaneers won the first game 48-45 last Tuesday over Adams County Christian School, but lost the next two.
In Friday’s action, Bowling Green lost to the tournament’s runner-up team, Simpson Academy, 70-43.
Kenny Robertson had a big night, going for 25 points to lead Bowling Green.
Jonathan Smith posted 11 points.
Austin Reedy scored three points on a 3-pointer while Lync Sharp and Connor Comeaux added two each.
In Saturday’s contest, Bowling Green lost to Brookhaven Academy, 48-35.
Robertson posted 15 points.
Comeaux had eight points, which included a pair of 3-pointers. Braden Edwards had five points, while Smith posted four and Reedy added three. Reedy was good on a 3-pointer.
Columbia Academy won the tournament.
The top four teams advanced to the Class AAA Tournament.
Bowling Green opened play Wednesday in the Class AAA Tournament, but lost to Hartfield Academy, 57-39. The loss concluded Bowling Green’s season.
