Pine takes 2nd in District 10-2A Tournament

Pine’s Lady Raiders finished as runner-up in the District 10-2A tournament after falling to Northlake Christian School, 48-27, in the title game Friday at Northlake Christian.
Breyanna Brown scored eight points to top Pine.
Savannah Kennedy posted seven while Kaylyn Ginn and Hannah Ard had five each and Bethany McGinnis added two.
This was the fourth meeting between the two teams and Northlake Christian School won all four.
The girls playoff brackets were announced Monday.
Pine made the Class 2A postseason as the 21st-seeded team. They will be on the road facing the No. 12 seed Ferriday.
The winner goes against either fifth-seeded Red River or No. 28 General Trass.
Northlake Christian is the top-seeded team in Division III. The Lady Wolverines have a bye and will either play No. 16 Metairie Park Country Day or 17th-seeded Pope John Paul II.
