Lady Bucs’ McDonald, Seal playing in All-Star Game

Bowling Green had a solid softball season and two of their senior players have more one more game.
Shelby McDonald and McKinley Seal have made it to the MAIS All-Star game, which takes place today at Jackson Preparatory School.
McDonald and Seal will be competing for the Class AAA-AAAA Blue All-Star Team.
Bowling Green coach Meghan Dyer praised both players.
“They were both great assets to our team,” Dyer said. “They were both athletes that cover a lot of ground. They rarely made errors. They’re just both great ballplayers.”
McDonald hit .310 with a .383 on base percentage and .452 slugging during the regular season with 11 runs scored, two doubles, two triples and three RBIs. McDonald struck out just four times in 47 plate appearances. McDonald was also successful in four of her five stolen base attempts.
Seal put up a .390 average and a .500 on base percentage in the 14 games. Seal slugged .452 with four doubles, six RBIs and 15 runs scored. Seal struck out just three times 50 plate appearances. Seal also swiped 12 bases in 14 attempts.
This season, Bowling Green finished third in the AAA South State and Class AAA tournaments. The Lady Bucs were just one win from reaching the championship game of the Class AAA Tournament.
