Bogalusa defeated Independence 13-7 on the road Friday evening in the Lumberjacks’ first game of the season in District 7-3A play.

It was Bogalusa’s first victory of the season, as the Lumberjacks improved to 1-5.

Bogalusa’s next game is a district game at home against Amite on Friday night.
