Early Monday morning, a Bogalusa man was accidentally killed after a gun went off.

Interim Bogalusa Police Chief Gene Crosby said that Rozzie Scott, 23, fired a gun unintentionally, killing Reginald Morrow, 23.

The two were at Scott’s residence in Sunset Acres.

“It appears to be an accident,” said Crosby, adding that he didn’t know how what the men were doing with the gun.

“I don’t know if he was playing with it,” Crosby said. “They were looking at it and he didn’t mean for it to go off.”

Scott was arrested and charged with negligent homicide, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and illegal discharge/use of a weapon. Scott is in the parish jail.
