The first half touchdown was on a pass from Cameron Bell to Kenny Robertson for a 41-yard score.

Bowling Green coach David Currier said that Robertson, who plays wide receiver and defensive back, showed signs of stepping up. In addition to the touchdown reception, Robertson also had two big kickoff returns. One of them went for a touchdown.

Kaz Smith led the Bucs’ defense with nine tackles while Cameron Cowart posted eight.

“Adams was good,” Currier said. “They had a lot of speed. We knew that, but we gave up too many big plays. This week, we hope to get it together against Amite School Center.”

Currier said the team suffered a big loss in Logan Leget, who broke his arm on the opening kickoff. Currier said Leget is out for the season.

Leget plays all over the field, including wingback, free safety, backup quarterback and kickoff returner.

Bowling Green is 0-2 this season. The Bucs will be back in action Friday when they play against Amite School Center.

Amite School Center lost to Prentiss Christian School on Friday, 33-0.
