Pine suffered a 21-0 loss to Albany in a jamboree game at home Friday.

The teams played a pair of 15-minute halves.

Pine trailed 14-0 at halftime before Albany outscored the Raiders 7-0 in the second half.

“I just thought it was a different team that showed up against Sumner the week before (in the scrimmage),” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “We didn’t play with a purpose this week. It was very disappointing.”

Seal said he was impressed with his wingbacks, including Delvric Dillon, Jarwin Jordan and Damarea Odom.

“I’ve been really pleased with them from the start of practice to now,” Seal said.

Seal said he was impressed with the Raiders’ blocking. He added that his team had a couple of long runs that were called back because of penalties.

Prior to that game, the junior varsity took the field. They played two 10-minute halves and defeated Albany, 14-6.

Jordan Anderson had a big night with two touchdown receptions, which were part of a five-catch, 95-yard performance.

Logan Temples threw the scoring passes.

Pine opens the regular season Friday night at home against Pearl River.
