Bowling Green’s Ashley Foret and McKinley Seal were selected to the 2016 Class AAA All-MAIS Team.

The two were part of a Lady Buccaneers team that tallied a 35-7 record this season. Bowling Green captured the District 5AAA tournament and the South State Tournament.

Bowling Green finished as runner-up in the Class AAA Tournament.

The Lady Buccaneers reached the overall tournament, but lost to the eventual overall champion Jackson Academy in the second round.

This season, Foret, a senior, averaged 15.1 points per game and hit 47.3 percent of her field goal attempts (201-of-422) and she hit 36.4 percent of her 3-pointers (59-of-162).

Foret averaged 4.2 rebounds per game and 2.4 assists a contest.

Seal, a junior, posted 7.6 points per game for the Lady Buccaneers to go with 4.4 assists and 3.3 steals.

The MAIS Class AAA Player of the Year is Leake Academy senior Victoria Sprayberry.

The rest of the team includes Leake Academy junior Anna Evans, Kirk Academy junior Margaret Taylor and Columbia Academy senior Miranda Magee.
