A Franklinton man was arrested Wednesday, and is charged with crimes against the elderly.

Washington Parish Chief Deputy Mike Haley said that James Allen McCain, 58, of Barber Road, was placed in the Washington Parish Jail on three charges — theft of $5,000 or more, theft of assets from the aged and failure to appear.

Haley said that McCain’s bond was set at $15,500. He met the conditions of bond and was released from jail on April 21.

Haley said that the investigation regarding McCain is ongoing and it is believed there might be more victims.
