Pine’s Tanner McKenzie and Brent Barber recorded top-three finishes during the Northshore Golf League at Pinewood Country Club in Slidell on Tuesday, April 5.

McKenzie shot a 78 to finish second and Barber was just one stroke behind in the field of 14.

Pope John Paul II’s Zach Barrios won the event with a score of 72.

Pope John Paul II’s Jack Legnon was fourth with a 91, followed by Doyle’s Keith Benton’s 94.

Pope John Paul II won the team competition with a 286, as the top four golfers’ scores were used to determine team scores.

In the girls, Springfield’s Charley Shaffer won with a 119 by one stroke over teammate Shelby Chandler and seven strokes over Lanie Chandler.
