Franklinton’s Lady Demons lost to Lakeshore on Monday, but rebounded with a victory over Pearl River in District 8-4A action Tuesday.

The Lady Demons’ home loss to Lakeshore was 16-1 in six innings.

Franklinton trailed 4-1 after three, but Lakeshore tallied twice each in the fourth and fifth inning before adding eight more in the sixth.

Lexi Williams and Alyssa Menard posted two hits each for the Lady Demons. Menard scored a run.

Bethany Sandifer singled and drove in a run.

Franklinton committed nine errors.

Tuesday was much better for Franklinton in its 9-2 win over Pearl River on the road.

Williams, Bailey Spears and Stephanie Crowe had two hits each. Williams and Crowe scored a run apiece while Spears drove in two runs.

Sandifer, Madison LaSalle, Morgan Stafford, Anna Miley and Alaina Fussell had a hit each. Sandifer recorded an RBI while LaSalle scored two runs. Stafford tallied a run, MIley doubled and Fussell doubled and drove in two runs. Menard and Laynea Stafford scored two runs each in the victory.

Winning pitcher Miley allowed seven hits with five strikeouts and three walks in a complete-game performance.
