Raiders defeat Franklinton

Pine’s Raiders defeated Franklinton, 5-2, in a home game that took place Wednesday.

Dillon Morris was solid on the mound and at the plate for the Raiders.

Morris threw a complete game, allowing seven hits with three strikeouts and just one walk.

Offensively, Morris recorded two hits and he drove in a run.

Four Raiders had one hit, including Jamie Adcox, Trey Cooper, Tate Roach and Landon Fonda.

Adcox posted one RBI while Roach and Fonda drove in a run each.

Connor Holmes and Harrison Jones both drove in a run. Jones also scored twice and had no official at bats, as he drew three walks.

Franklinton’s Wyatt Verret and Collin Dominguez recorded a pair of hits each. Verret scored a run while Dominguez doubled and had a run batted in.

Jamarian Crain, C.J. Estave and Caleb McKenzie posted a hit each.

Crain scored a run while Estave posted an RBI.

Franklinton took a 2-0 lead in the third, but the Raiders came back with one in its half of the inning, trimming it to 2-1.

Pine then scored three runs in the fourth to take a 4-2 lead and added one more in the sixth to reflect the 5-2 final
