Pine cruises past Yellow Jackets

Pine was victorious over Mt. Hermon, 23-4, in a home game that took place Tuesday.

Mt. Hermon led 2-0 after a half of an inning, but Pine scored 13 runs over the first two frames with seven in the first and six in the second before adding 10 more in the fourth.

Harrison Jones and Tate Roach both singled twice. Jones drove in five runs and scored three times while Roach had an RBI and three runs scored.

Dillon Morris, Connor Holmes, Trey Cooper, Dakota Cobb and Austin Temples finished with a hit each.

Morris doubled, drove in a run and scored once. Holmes, who doubled, finished with three RBIs and a run scored. Cooper scored twice and drove home a run. Cobb scored a run and Temples drove in two and scored once.

Rion Terrell scored a run. Kendall Sheridan logged three runs and drove in one. Ethan Knight posted two RBIs and a run scored. Landon Fonda tallied two runs and         Kaden Fersch scored a run for the Raiders.

The winning pitcher Temples threw three innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on just one hit with four walks and two strikeouts.

Mt. Hermon was limited to two hits — one each by Dylan Clark and D.J. Elzey. Clark drove in a run and score a run, while Elzey scored once.

Preston Knight finished with two RBIs. Trey Roberts and Jase Fortenberry scored a run each for the Yellow Jackets.
