Bowling Green falls to Brookhaven, Columbia

Bowling Green was in the game through five innings, but Brookhaven Academy scored 12 runs over the final two innings to defeat the Buccaneers, 15-2, last Saturday at Bowling Green.
Bowling Green trailed 1-0 after one, but tied the game in the second. Brookhaven went in front, 2-1, in the third and each team tallied a run in the fourth before Brookhaven scored five in the sixth and seven more in the seventh for the win.
Cameron Cowart went 2-for-2. Brandon McElveen, Thomas Strickland and Drew Wagner all had one hit.
Brody Schillings drove in a run and Nick Wager and James Taylor scored a run each.
In Monday’s contest, the Buccaneers suffered a 15-3 loss to Columbia Academy in five innings.
Wager and Ball had two-hits each for Bowling Green. Wager also drove in a run. Ball doubled twice, posted an RBI and scored a run.
Cowart, McElveen, Schillings, Strickland and Taylor all singled. Coward stole a base and scored a run while McElveen drove in a run.
