Franklinton victorious over PRHS Rebels to close out regular season

Franklinton used a balanced scoring attack and was victorious over Pearl River 79-43 to close out District 8-4A play on Senior Night.
Four Demons scored in double figures and 10 were in the scoring column.
Nick Burkhalter and Peter Williams tied for the team lead with 14 points. Williams hit four 3-pointers while Burkhalter knocked down a three shots from beyond the arc.
Tray Anders posted 13 points, including four threes while Peter Williams had 12 points and hit three 3-pointers.
Azende O. Magee recorded six points, Azende T. Magee had five, Raisean Hart finished with four, Sam Smith and Adrian Fox posted three each and Jadwynn Warren added two in the victory.
At the game, Franklinton honored its seniors. The group includes Anders, Warren, Williams, Azende O. Magee, Azende T. Magee, Fox and Burkhalter.
The Demons also honored Anders for joining the 1,000-point club. He has just over 1,600 points for his high school career.
Franklinton is 22-6 and finishes District 8-4A tied with Salmen atop the league with a 7-1 record.
