Bogalusa’s Billy Mingo scored 20 points as the Lumberjacks went on the road and defeated Independence, 63-56, in District 7-3A action Tuesday.

Kenyatta Scott hit a pair of 3-pointers in the contest, on his way to 16 points. Laster Hills scored 12 points, including two 3-pointers.

Kenny Robertson posted eight points, while Desean Crumedy recorded six and Tremarcus Levi had four in the victory.

Bogalusa improved to first place in the league with a 3-1 district record and an overall record of 13-8.
