Demons victorious over Ben Franklin, Albany

Franklinton’s Demons were victorious over Ben Franklin, 91-70, in a contest held Tuesday at home.

Four Demons scored in double figures in Franklinton’s balanced scoring attack. Ten Demons tallied in the game.

Tray Anders and Nick Burkhalter tied for the team lead with 16 points. Anders also knocked down a pair of 3-pointers.

Peter Williams was next with 15, which included a three and Resean Hart posted 10 in the victory.

Jadwynn Warren recorded nine points, including two treys while Azende O. Magee had eight and Azende T. Magee put up seven. Azende T. Magee also hit a 3-pointer.

Darrius Dawason scored six points and Sam Smith and T.Y. Pope added two each for the Demons.

Franklinton led Ben Franklin, 42-32, at halftime. Each team scored 21 in the third, but the Demons outscored Franklin, 28-17, in the fourth period.

The next night, Franklinton went on the road and defeated Albany, 76-61.

Warren led the way with 20 points, including three treys.

Hart and Azende T. Magee scored 14 points apiece. Magee was successful twice from beyond the arc.

Anders and Williams both tallied six points while Burkhalter had five, Smith and Azende O. Magee recorded four and Dawson added three.

The teams were tied, 27-27, at halftime. The Demons outscored Albany, 28-20, in the third quarter and 21-14 in the final period.
