Bogalusa cross country competes at St. Thomas Aquinas

Bogalusa runners ran 75th, 81st and 94th in the Northshore Cross Country Championships held Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas in Hammond.
Terry Owens finished 75th for Bogalusa with a time of 20 minutes, 50 seconds while Malon Robertson was 81st at 21:06 and Kentrea Lewis had 21:58 for 94th place.
The event featured 115 participants.
John Curtis’ Devyn Keith captured the event with a time of 15:11.
He won by 25 seconds over Fontainebleau’s Adam Wise’s 15:36.
Jewel Sumner’s Austin Ballow finished third at 15:43, followed by Mandeville’s Spencer Hollander at 15:59 and John Curtis’ Austin Brown at 15:57.
Eleven teams qualified for team honors.
Clubs needed five runners to compete for team honors.
John Curtis won the team competition with 31 points.
Runner-up Mandeville was second at 62, followed by Fontainebleau’s 75, St. Thomas Aquinas’ 97 and Ponchatoula’s 117.
Up next for Bogalusa is the Cross Country State Championships.
The Lumberjacks are running Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches.
