Samuel Talley

Samuel Malcom Talley, born July 7, 1928, passed away June 14, 2015, at North Oaks Hospital at the age of 86. He was a life-long resident of Bogalusa and a member of Talley’s Chapel Community Church of Sun.

He is survived by four daughters, Janet Kennedy and her husband Craig of Abita Springs, Jeanne Daigle and her husband Paul of Madisonville, JoAnne Coffey of Baton Rouge and Alicia Dorsey and her husband Scott of Prairieville, La.; three brothers, J.M. Talley of Blakely, Ga., Louis Delton Talley of Bogalusa and James Hollis Talley of Pine; two sisters, Ella Munizza and Edwin Miller, both of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents, James and Veola Jenkins Talley; and his beloved wife, Geraldine Mae Perricone Talley.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Talley’s Chapel Community Church in Sun beginning at 10 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leo Burge will officiate the services, and the interment will follow in the Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
