William Durr

William Joseph Durr Jr., age 19, departed this life on May 13, 2015. He went to Franklinton High School where he played flute, bassoon, clarinet and saxophone in the Franklinton Demon Regiment. He also taught himself to play bass guitar, electric guitar and piano.
He was preceded in death by his unborn sister, Carlee Louise Durr; maternal grandparents, Norman M. Folse and Mary L. Ulmer Folse; and paternal grandparents, Henry L. Durr and Margaret Randazzo Durr.
William is survived by his mother, Sharon Melissa Folse Durr; his father, William Joseph Durr; brother, Norman Phillip Durr; paternal aunts and uncles, Hank Durr, Elaine Miller, Suzie Allred and Loretta Durr; and maternal aunts and uncles, Tina Rinehart, Jacklyn Stamper, Alisha McCormick, Erica Stamper, Gabriel Smart, Robert Chilton Jr., Stephen and Shelly Chilton and Craig Chilton.
The memorial service will be Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Hillcrest Baptist Church on Washington Street in Franklinton. Visitation will start at 1 p.m. A prayer service will start at 2 p.m. There will be a pot luck style dinner after service. The interment of his ashes will follow after dinner in Columbia, Miss., where there will be a Catholic graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to the Hillcrest Baptist Church building fund.
