‘Jacks’ Dionte Lenoir captures the shot put in Thursday’s meet

Bogalusa’s Dionte Lenoir captured the shot put at the Harris County Invitational at West Harrison High School in Mississippi Thursday.

Lenoir finished the shot put event with a distance of 39-4.

He also had a runner-up finish in the discus, which he threw 100-0.

Several other Lumberjacks were in the top six for individual events.

Devonte Lenoir was second in both hurdle events.

He ran the 110 hurdles in 16.60 seconds and the 300 in 45.20.

Malon Robertson posted a second place finish in the pole vault. His height was 11-6. He also took fourth in the long jump, tallying a distance of 18-0.

Jalin Lucas had a third and sixth place finish. He was third in the 1,600 at 6:05, and sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:06.

Zack Saraceno recorded fourth and fifth place finishes. He took fourth in the shot put at 33-8 and fifth in the discus at 70-4.

Kentraé Lewis logged a fourth place finish in the 800 at 2:28 and a sixth place tally in the 400 at 57.30.

Javon Tate was top six in the 100 and 200. He ran the 100 in 11.30 for fourth place, and he was fifth place in the 200 at 24.20.

Matthew Fox was fourth best in the 300 hurdles, running in 48.20.

Terry Owens had three top six finishes.

He was fifth in two events, the 800 and 1,600. His 800 time was 2:28 while his 1,600 time was 6:10. He also ran the 3,200, his sixth place finish, in 14:08.

All three of the Lumberjacks’ relay teams were third.

The 4×100 group ran in 47 seconds while the 4×200 squad finished in 1:38. Both teams featured Devonte Lenoir, Fox, Robertson and Tate.

The 4×400 team had a time of 4:11.

That group had Lewis, Owens, Lucas and Fox.

Bogalusa’s next meet is scheduled for Thursday at Salmen.
