Bogalusa cruises past Amite

Bogalusa’s Caleb Greely and Elijah Hatcher both had strong days at the plate, as the Lumberjacks were victorious over Amite, 14-5, in District 8-3A play at home Tuesday.

Greely posted four hits, two for doubles, with three runs batted in.

Hatcher had three hits, all doubles, and two RBIs.

Trevion Harris backed up the run support on the mound.

He threw a complete game on the mound, allowing two earned runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and four walks.

He also helped out offensively with a hit.

Meechie Baham, Thomas Turner and Tron Dillon also had one hit each.

Ben’s Ford falls to Pearl River Central

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles suffered an 8-1 loss to Pearl River Central High School at home Tuesday.

The game was tied 1-1 after six, but Pearl River Central scored seven runs to break the game open.

Ben’s Ford had a chance to take the lead in the sixth, as the Eagles loaded the bases with nobody out and failed to score.

After loading the bases, the Eagles had a pop out to second and then grounded into an inning-ending double play.

Losing pitcher Shelby Culpepper turned in a solid performance.

He threw six-plus innings, allowing two runs on four hits with six strikeouts and three walks.

Ben’s Ford Christian School was limited to just two hits.

The Eagles’ hits came from Daniel Pittman and Josh Crain.

Ben’s Ford loses to Brookhaven

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles were defeated by Brookhaven Academy, 9-3, in a road game that took place Monday.

Cole Williams and Will Owens had a single and a run batted in each. Daniel Pittman and C.J. McClelland both singled for the Eagles.

Williams was the losing pitcher.

Franklinton falls to Pearl River

Franklinton suffered a 7-3 loss to Pearl River in a District 8-4A game on the road Wednesday.

The Lady Demons out hit the Lady Rebels, 11-3, but left 10 runners on base.

Haley Sanford went three for four with an RBI and a run scored.

Baylee Mixon posted two hits, including a double, and a run batted in.

Faith Chauvin had two hits and a run scored.

Lexi Williams, Hannah Adams, Bethany Sandifer and Austen Felder posted one hit each.

Williams drove in a run while Sandifer scored a run.

Adams, who allowed two earned runs, was the losing pitcher. She struck out nine and walked seven while allowing four hits.

Bogalusa loses two to Jewel Sumner

Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks suffered a loss in both games of a doubleheader, 15-0, 15-0, in District 8-3A play on the road Tuesday.

Mt. Hermon defeats Varnado

Mt. Hermon’s Lady Jackets were victorious over Varnado, 17-2, in Monday’s game held at home.

Mt. Hermon falls to Doyle

Mt. Hermon lost in a double header to Doyle March 20, 19-4 and 10-0, as the games were held on the road.

Pine falls to Northlake Christian School

Pine’s Lady Raiders suffered a 15-7 loss to Northlake Christian School last Thursday in District 8-2A play on the road last Thursday.

Abbey Whaley tripled and stole three bases. Lacie Fletcher and Abigail Temples posted a double each.

Megan Graham stole two bases for the Lady Raiders.
