Bogalusa and Mt Hermon wrap up play in the Doyle Tournament

Bogalusa posted a 1-2 record in the Doyle Tournament while Mt. Hermon was unable to win any of its three games in the competition that took place last Thursday-Saturday.

After splitting with Pine and Mt. Hermon Thursday, Bogalusa suffered a 9-2 loss against Springfield Friday.

Trevion Harris doubled twice.

Meechie Baham and Caleb Greely finished with a hit each for the Lumberjacks.

Greely was the losing pitcher.

After falling to Bogalusa, Mt. Hermon suffered losses to Episcopal of Acadiana, 15-7, and Centerville, 16-5, Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Mt. Hermon jumped out to a 7-1 lead after four against Episcopal, but Episcopal tied things, 7-7, in the seventh to force extra innings.

In the eighth, Episcopal scored eight runs to reflect the finals.

Devin Smith led Mt. Hermon with three hits, including two doubles, two runs batted in and two runs scored.

Chandler Johnson and Matthew Tetreau recorded two his each.

Johnson scored twice while Tetreau drove in two and scored once.

Dylan Clark and Gerald Bunch had the Yellow Jackets’ other two hits.

Both drove in a run and Bunch’s hit was a triple.

Davin Frazier and Peyton Knight both tallied a run for Mt. Hermon.

Johnson was the losing pitcher.

Against Centerville, the Yellow Jackets got off to a rough start and trailed, 16-1, after four in the five-inning game.

Frazier finished with two hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Trey Roberts, Johnson, Bunch and Tetreau had one hit each.

Roberts drove in two and scored once while Bunch had two RBIs and two runs scored.

Tetreau tallied a run for the Yellow Jackets in the contest.

Knight was the losing pitcher.
