Bogalusa football banquet

Bogalusa High School is holding its football banquet Friday evening at 6 p.m. in the ROTC Gym, which is located next to the main gym.

The public is invited to attend.

The event is free.

Bogalusa 50th reunion party

Bogalusa High School players from the 1965 football team are invited to John Bergeron’s house for a 50th reunion party March 7.

Bergeron lives at 1317 Pioneer Road in Bogalusa.

The event gets under way at about 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m.

There is no cost.

4-H Club 5K race

The Washington Parish 4-H Club will be hosting its fourth annual 5K race March 7 at the Washington Parish Fairgrounds.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at the stage.

Early registration is over but raceday registration costs $25.

Forms can be found on Facebook by searching Washington Parish 4-H Charity 5K or they can be picked up at the LSU AgCenter.

The LSU AgCenter is located at 1104-B Bene St., in Franklinton. Those with questions should contact coordinator Kreig Todd at 985-516-3855.

Pine athletic fundraiser

The Pine High School football and baseball teams are having their annual fundraiser to help support the costs of equipment and other necessities.

They will be selling signs to be placed on the concession stand and dugout.

The cost for each sign is $150 per year. When the signs become too worn, they will replace the sign free of charge.

The signs will be displayed for the entire baseball and football seasons.

Also, those who purchase signs may attach a business card with business information to go on the sign. Call 985-848-5243 or 985-848-5601 for more information.

Hope House Open

The Hope House Open Fore the Kids Golf Tournament takes place March 26 at Money Hill Golf and Country Club in Abita Springs.

All proceeds benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center.

Registration, lunch and warm-up for the four-person scramble begins at 11:30 a.m., with a 1 p.m. tee time.

The event has a limited field of players.

The tournament features world famous barbeque lunch cooked on site, food and drinks on and off the course, a longest drive, closest to the hole, hole-in-one and beat the pro contests. Mulligans are also available for purchase. You can register and pay by visiting www.cachopehouse.org.
