Bogalusa Sports Association baseball signups

The Bogalusa Sports Association is kicking off its 2015 baseball season, and is inviting children ages four and up to register.

Signups take place Feb. 21 and 28 from 8 a.m. to noon both days at the Airport Baseball Complex at 209 Walker St. in Bogalusa

The registration fee is $60.

Each child must take a skills test on one of the two signup days.

4-H Club 5K race

The Washington Parish 4-H Club will be hosting its fourth annual 5K race March 7 at the Washington Parish Fairgrounds.

The event begins at 8 a.m. at the stage.

Early registration, which ends March 2, costs $20.

Late signups and raceday registration is $25.

Forms can be found on Facebook by searching Washington Parish 4-H Charity 5K or they can be picked up at the LSU AgCenter, which is located at 1104-B Bene St., in Franklinton.

Pine athletic fundraiser

The Pine High School football and baseball teams are having their annual fundraiser to help support the costs of equipment and other necessities.

They will be selling signs to be placed on the concession stand and dugout.

The cost for each sign is $150 per year. When the signs become too worn, they will replace the sign free of charge.

The signs will be displayed for the entire baseball and football seasons.

Riverside Medical Center Golf Tournament

The first annual Riverside Medical Center Foundation Golf Tournament takes place April 18 at the Franklinton Country Club.

The tournament benefits the Riverside Medical Center Foundation.

Check-in begins at 11 a.m. with a noon tee time.

The cost for the 3-person scramble is $300 a team, and the registration deadline is April 15.

The price includes the golfing, cart fees, food and beverages.

Handicap is required, and mulligans are available at two for $20. Cash prizes will be awarded for first through third place in each flight.
