Bowling Green defeats Central Private

Bowling Green moved to 7-0 in District 6AA play with a 60-42 victory over Central Private on the road Monday.

Jordan Barnes paced the Buccaneers with 16 points. Bryan Ottinger and K.J. Robertson scored 10 points each.

Connor McCain finished with eight.

Dylan Varnado had seven, Brady Goings five, Jace Ball posted four and Lane Adams added two.

Bowling Green is 17-9 this season.

Bowling Green downs Columbia Academy

Bowling Green’s Connor McCain scored 15 points on seven of 14 from the field, grabbed four rebounds, made two steals, dished out an assist and blocked a shot in a 60-43 win over Columbia Academy on the road Saturday.

K.J. Robertson nearly had a triple-double. He put up 11 points, with nine rebounds and nine assists to go with six steals and two blocks.

Bryan Ottinger scored seven points and made two steals.

Jordan Barnes had nine points, three boards, three steals, a block and an assist.

Brady Goings recorded seven points and two steals.

Lane Adams logged four, and Dylan Varnado added two.

Bowling Green shot 52 percent (26-of-50) from the field and had 10 offensive rebounds in the game.

Franklinton falls to Warren Easton

Franklinton’s Demons lost to Warren Easton, 66-60, in a road game held Friday.

Nick Burkhalter scored 12 points, followed by Tray Ander’s 10.

Azende T. Magee finished with nine.

Darrius Dawson and Azende O. Magee both had seven for Franklinton.

Quincy Stewart had six, Resean Hart four, Peter Williams totaled three, and Ryché Jenkins added two for Franklinton High School.

Franklinton defeats Holy Cross

Franklinton’s Tray Anders scored 22 points in a 58-47 victory over Holy Cross last Tuesday at home.

Darrius Dawson and Quincy Stewart both finished with eight while Azende O. Magee posted seven.

Resean Hart had four, and Azende T Magee and Ryché Jenkins both added three in the victory.

Bowling Green cruises past Central Private

Bowling Green’s Kristina Jerrell scored 16 point and recorded five steals in a 57-20 win over Central Private in District 6AA play Monday.

Natalie Michel and Hollie Waskom both scored seven points for the road team. Michel grabbed five rebounds while Waskom posted three boards, two assists and a steal.

Ashley Foret and Reagan Moody both logged six points. Foret recorded six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Moody posted five boards, two assists and a steal.

McKinley Seal had four points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Sydney Watson added three points and a steal.

Cailee Fruge, Mason Edwards, Peyton Stogner and Katelin Junkins scored two each. Fruge added two rebounds and a block. Edwards grabbed six boards to go with an assist and a steal. Junkins had a rebound and an assist. Stogner posted three rebounds and two assists.

Bowling Green rolls past Columbia Academy

Bowling Green’s Reagan Moody posted 15 points, eight rebounds, and three steals, as the Lady Buccaneers downed Columbia Academy, 56-27, on the road Saturday.

Kristina Jerrell finished with 11 points, a rebound and an assist.

McKinley Seal and Ashley Foret both posted seven points. Seal also recorded four boards, an assist and a steal. Foret also dished out seven assists while grabbing six rebounds and logging two steals.

Sydney Watson had six points, and Hollie Waskom posted five.

Mason Edwards and Katelin Junkins scored two points each, and Cailee Fruge added one.

Bogalusa loses to Amite

Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks lost to Amite, 68-54, in a District 8-3A contest on the road Friday.

JaMaya Mingo-Young scored 29 points to lead Bogalusa while Diamond Martin put up 12.

Jasmine May recorded five points, Shante Chatmon added three and Amia Peters and Lula both contributed two.

Bogalusa falls to Albany

Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks suffered a 44-36 setback to Albany in a District 8-3A contest held last Tuesday at BHS.

JaMaya Mingo-Young scored 19 points to lead Bogalusa. Jasmine May finished with seven and Dezyriah Rankins added five.
