Varnado victorious over Jewel Sumner

Varnado’s D.J. Jefferson scored 32 points and hit nine 3-pointers in the Wildcats’ 80-64 road victory over Jewel Sumner Tuesday.

Errol Varnado scored 19 points for VHS, which included four treys.

Delrick Abrams was also in double figures, putting up 13.

Ben’s Ford defeats Centreville

Ben’s Ford Christian School opened District 6AA play in victorious fashion Tuesday by beating Centreville, 70-59. Destin Pittman had a night to remember. He scored 27 points and knocked seven 3-pointers in the win.

Bowling Green falls to Parklane

Bowling Green’s Buccaneers suffered a 76-70 loss to Parklane at home game Tuesday.

Jared Gambino led the Bucs’ scoring attack with 18 points. He also pulled down three rebounds, dished out two assists and made two steals. K.J. Robertson tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 boards, while passing for five assists. Dylan Varnado posted 11 points and four assists, while Brady Goings logged seven points and three assists. Connor McCain totaled five points and six rebounds. Daniel Bischoff and Lane Adams added three and two points, respectively.

Bowling Green downs Parklane

Bowling Green’s Ashley Foret scored 20 points, and Hollie Waskom registered 17 in a 64-38 victory over Parklane on the road Tuesday.

Foret and Waskom both filled up the stat sheet. Foret also had 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks. Waskom pulled down 10 rebounds, while making five steals and dishing out two assists. McKinley Seal delivered 10 points, six steals and three assists. Katelin Junkins posted seven points. Reagan Moody had five points and eight steals. Sydney Watson added three points, while Natalie Michel contributed two points.

Bogalusa defeated by Cabrini

Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks were on the losing end of a 68-37 contest to Cabrini on the road Tuesday.

JaMaya Mingo-Young topped Bogalusa with 16 points. Nylijah Mingo finished with 13 points, while Kierra Walker posted two and Shante Chatmon added two.

Varnado falls to Jewel Sumner

Varnado lost to Jewel Sumner, 71-34, in a road that took place Tuesday.

Tarralyn Moses led Varnado with 11 points.

Breanna Holmes had 12, while Kenisha Kemp and Ke’arria Green had five apiece. Chloe Foster added three, and Yienna Kemp chipped in with two.

Ben’s Ford loses to Centreville

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Lady Eagles suffered a 53-25 loss to Centreville Academy at home Tuesday.

Olivia Miley led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 13 points.

This was the District 6AA opener for Ben’s Ford.
