Ben’s Ford falls to Sacred Heart

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Eagles suffered a 55-30 setback to Sacred Heart in road game held Tuesday.

Ben’s Ford was trailing, 29-15, as the teams headed for the halftime break.

Ashton Hines topped Ben’s Ford in scoring by recording 12 points for the Eagles.

Pine goes 0-4 in tourney

Pine’s Raiders lost all four games in the Doyle Tournament, which occurred Monday and Tuesday.

The first contest was a 59-41 setback to Doyle.

Hunter Cooper was Pine’s leading scorer with 15 points.

Ty Galloway finished with 10 and Jordan Phelps recorded eight for the Raiders.

Pine came up short in the second contest to Albany, 62-57.

Jamie Adcox registered 15 points for the Raiders.

Trey Cooper and Hunter Cooper both had 13 points and Phelps totaled 10.

Pine fell to 0-3 in the tournament in a 44-29 loss to Walker.

Phelps scored 10 points for the Raiders.

The final game was a 62-52 loss against French Settlement.

Hunter Cooper posted 16 points for Pine, while Phelps had 12.

The Raiders are 2-4 in the early part of this season.

Ben’s Ford loses to Sacred Heart

Ben’s Ford Christian School’s Lady Eagles were on the losing end of a 47-25 contest against Sacred Heart on the road Tuesday.

Ben’s Ford was down, 29-12, at the break.

Savanna Smith led Ben’s Ford with nine points, while Callie Sprehe finished with seven.

Pine goes 2-1 in Doyle Tournament

Pine’s Lady Raiders won two of their three games in the Doyle Tournament.

The event took place Monday and Tuesday.

Pine defeated the host school, 63-55, to open the event.

Three Lady Raiders scored in double figures and they nearly had a fourth do so.

Breyanna Brown led the way at 16 points. Morgan Thomas finished with 14.

Nyxavion Robertson posted nine in the Lady Raiders’ victory.

The next contest was a 53-38 setback to Albany.

Robertson topped the Lady Raiders with 11 points.

The finale for Pine was a 62-47 victory over Holden.

Brown had big game, putting up 26 points. She was one of four Lady Raiders in double figures. Thomas had 15 and Robertson was in double-figures once again with 10.

Pine is 3-2 this season.
