Pine downs Jewel Sumner

Pine’s Hunter Cooper scored 20 points, Jordan Phelps tallied 18 points and Ty Galloway finished with 18 points in a 76-45 victory at home Nov. 20.

Cooper hit two 3-pointers and finished 10-of-12 from the free-throw line and 8-for-8 from the charity stripe in the fourth period.

Galloway hit three treys.

Tré Cooper posted 12 points, followed by Kaleb Voth’s three and Jaron Hughes and Jamie Adcox added two apiece for the Raiders (2-0).

Bowling Green edged by Jackson Prep

Bowling Green lost an 11-point halftime lead and lost to Jackson Prep, 56-53, at home Nov. 20.

The Buccaneers (2-2 at press time) led 32-21 at halftime. Jackson Prep trimmed it to 49-45 and then made a 9-1 run to go ahead for good, 54-50.

K.J. Roberson made a 3-pointer to trim it to 54-53, but Jackson Prep held on for the victory.

Robertson finished with 19 points on 7-of-15 from the field. He also had six rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Connor McCain tallied 13 points on 6-for-12 to go with six boards, two assists and two steals.

Brady Goings and Lane Adams posted six points each, while Bryan Ottinger added four, Jared Gambino three and Dylan Varnado two.

Ben’s Ford loses to Columbia Academy

Ben’s Ford Christian School lost to Columbia Academy, 51-38, in a road game held Nov. 20.

The Eagles (2-4) had things close at halftime, trailing just 24-21, but Columbia expanded the lead en route to the win.

Cameron Byrd was Ben’s Ford’s leading scorer with nine points.

Girls

Bowling Green gets past Jackson Prep

Bowling Green sophomore McKinley Seal knocked down a 3-pointer with eight seconds left to put the Lady Bucs in front, and Jackson Prep missed a contested shot from close range, as Bowling Green won, 45-43, at home Nov. 20.

The Lady Bucs (4-2 at press time) had a 14-5 lead after one, but Jackson Prep outscored the Lady Bucs, 28-17 over the middle two periods. Bowling Green rebounded in the fourth quarter, outscoring Jackson Prep, 14-10, to take the win.

Seal finished with 10 points.

Reagan Moody led the Lady Bucs in scoring with 14 points to go with three rebounds.

Hollie Waskom finished with eight points and six boards. Ashley Foret tallied six points and six assists. Katelin Junkins added a point and three boards.

Pine falls to Jewel Sumner

Pine’s Lady Raiders fell to Jewel Sumner, 63-39, in a home game that took place Nov. 20.

Breyanna Brown led Pine (1-1) with 16 points. Nyxavion Robertson finished with six, Morgan Thomas had five, and Kaylee Turnage and Chelsey Turnage tallied four each. Laken Breedlove had three, and Macie Tullier added one.

Ben’s Ford defeated by Columbia

Ben’s Ford Christian School suffered a 64-28 setback to Columbia Academy in a road game Nov. 20.

Columbia led, 37-17, at the break.

Savanna Smith tallied 11 to lead Ben’s Ford (1-5) in scoring.
